Fin dal suo primo episodio This is us è riuscita a coinvolgere emotivamente milioni di spettatori, che non vedevano l’ora di poter seguire in televisione le vicende della famiglia Pearson, protagonista indiscussa della serie targata NBC.
This is us racconta infatti la storia d’amore e di vita di Jack (Milo Ventimiglia), Rebecca Pearson (Mandy Moore) e dei loro gemelli, i “big three”.
Creata da Dan Fogelman, This is Us è uno show che ha già dimostrato, nelle prime due stagioni, come non conti soltanto la storia narrata ma il modo in cui la si racconta. La serie è scritta, diretta e montata in modo tale da risultare estremamente coinvolgente, strappalacrime, travolgente. Lo stesso Milo Ventimiglia ha affermato: “Io e Mandy abbiamo una tradizione. Guardiamo tutti gli episodi insieme. Guardiamo ogni episodio insieme e piangiamo sempre. Fa piangere anche noi”.
